Highly Commended At The UK Blog Awards 2018

There’s been something I’ve been meaning to write about as soon as poss… the UK Blog Awards 2018! So FINALLY here it is, over a month on!

On the 20th April 2018, butterflies were fluttering in my tummy as I prepared to get ready for the UK Blog Awards, held at the beautiful Marriott at Grosvenor Square, London. Nails were stuck on, makeup was prepped and I was zipped into my dress. Luckily the plan was to meet a bunch of my fellow bloggers beforehand, Natasha Atlas, Alice in Wonderlust, and Paul Thomas Bell

Once we’d all met up, we made our way into the grand room in which the awards were to take place. A few drinks down, we were excitedly chatting and catching up.

The awards were underway and before long, it was us, the Dating Category. Introduced by Dating Judge, the fabulous Leading UK Dating Coach, James Preece, up first was the Highly Commended Award.

When Never Settle’s name was announced, I was gobsmacked – it was me!

Pretty chuffed with myself, I was then pleased to watch as Alice Riley of Alice in Wonderlust won Best Dating Blog!

I am super fortunate to know most of the other Dating blogger nominees really well, so I was really proud of Alice and all my fellow dating writers.

This is an absolutely amazing achievement and I am so incredibly grateful to all those who nominated me for this award. You saw something shine in this blog and allowed me to be nominated in the UK’s leading blog awards.

So to everyone who nominated me, to everyone who shares, reads, occasionally glances or stumbles upon Never Settle – thank you!!!

Thank you so unbelievably much.

As some of you may know, blogging isn’t easy – especially when juggling with all your other commitments: work, hobbies, partners, extracurricular courses and whatever else life decides to throw at you. Spending hours upon hours researching, thinking, hitting writing block walls, being inspired and upkeeping a blog takes real time.

Not to mention the toll it takes on your own private life. It’s not the most conventional of things, running a dating and relationship blog, and it’s not as easily digested by everyone. I may be young, but this is what I love, and I’m so happy people think highly of my baby too.

Whether directly or indirectly, helping plenty of you through heartbreak, dating, relationship issues and learning who you are, fills me with so much happiness. Even if you just feel less alone because someone else has been through it too.

Writing Never Settle may be hard at times, but I adore it with all my overly-romantic heart.

never settle kiss
