Turning 30 and 30 Weeks Pregnant

Turning 30 and entering my third trimester a mere few weeks apart marks two fairly monumental milestones in my life.

With the start of a new decade and the beginning of the last third of pregnancy, I’m feeling pretty fortunate with everything in my life. As my bump grows bigger, I feel more connected to myself than ever.

I’ve been really lucky to have a fairly easy pregnancy so far, I felt nauseous to begin with in the first trimester, but otherwise feel fit and healthy. It’s been so lovely feeling baby boy move lots now and the thought of meeting him soon is so exciting.

My twenties have been some of the best years, I finished university on a high and moved to London where I had some great years living with friends and Matt. I’ve worked on some really cool film and television marketing campaigns in my professional career, met some fantastic people, done the whole drinking every Thursday night til the early hours in Soho and stumbling into work the next day (pre-pandemic), I’ve won the UK blog award in 2019 when I was 25 (gosh, I was young!) I completed 2 Levels at college for becoming a CPCAB qualified counsellor, and ended the decade getting married at Ashridge House to my best friend and going on the most incredible Italian (and accidentally Swiss) honeymoon, to now starting my journey to motherhood.

It’s been a wild ride. I’m not feeling sad about turning 30, I think it’s going to be a great continuation, and I feel fortunate enough to have got to where I am.
