The Collective Yoghurt Suckies and Pudstars | Review

My two year old son loves yoghurt.

When I say loves, I think he’d happily eat it with every meal. So much so, I thought he’d be a pretty fair judge of new yoghurts from The Collective – new Suckies and brand new pudding-style yoghurts, Pudstars.

As a parent, I’m keen to make sure my son doesn’t have too much added sugar, and limit the additives. So it’s really great that every yoghurt from The Collective is made with 100% British whole milk from Red Tractor Approved farms, with no artificial ingredients or added nasties.

As a family, we all sat down at our table for dinner. Once done, we cracked out the new The Collective Pudstars and new Suckies flavours. Collectively (pardon the pun), we had a good taste of all the flavours, and this was our verdict:

Pudstars dessert yoghurts

New Pudstars are a real treat. They have a really thick consistency and feel like a nice pudding. They are very creamy and a good portion size. Made with live whole milk yoghurt, real fruit and nothing artificial added, they’re also a great source of protein and calcium for little bones and growing bodies.

What we thought:

Apple crumble – This one is very flavourful but rich, it tastes just like apple crumble with cinnamon. It was my favourite by far and my son loved it too!

Strawberries and cream – It tastes just like strawberries but similar to rival yoghurt flavours, the thickness does clinch it though.

Vanilla custard – Very vanilla-y, a nice softness to it, a simple flavour but can’t eat too much of it!

Banana custard – At first we quite liked this one, but I thought it tastes a little like like the fake banana flavour like banana sweets – if you like that, then great!

New Suckies flavours

Suckies are super easy to eat, we haven’t had them before and my son loves how “fun” they are to squeeze. They’re a decent portion size too.

Blueberry and Oat

High in fibre, this one had a soft flavour but is really filling, this creamy live yoghurt has a gentle taste and is blended with blueberries, British oats and wholegrain to help support digestive health.

Berries & Cherries

A good source of vitamin C, the Berries & Cherries flavour tastes really natural, with no sharp jesty aftertaste you sometimes get with berry flavoured yoghurts, making it great for little tastebuds.

Overall if you’re looking for a tasty pudding, easy lunchbox snack or breakfast on the go, Suckies are a really good way to get some goodness into your child.

Pudstars (4 x 85g) will be available at Tesco from 5th October

Suckies + (90g) will be available in Sainsbury’s from 16th September, and Tesco from 5th October
